Villa Collinor
Villa Collinor is a charming villa ideal for 2-4 people (possibly expandable to 6) with two bedrooms and a (separate) open mezzanine with a double sofa bed. There are two bathrooms, each with walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
Bed linen, towels, beach towels and kitchen linen are included in the rental price.
The villa also features a sitting room with fireplace, television, good Wi-Fi, sauna, and a large (solar) heated in-ground swimming pool (8x4 metres). The kitchen includes an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and combination oven. There is no air conditioning.
The beautiful 2000 m² garden is ideally situated against a hill offering plenty of privacy! Several beautiful terraces are to be found around the villa enjoying sun and shade, both private and with beautiful views.
Attached to the kitchen is a covered terrace with outdoor kitchen and large dining table. This terrace overlooks an olive grove. There is also a separate terrace with barbecue.
Neffiès and surroundings
Neffiès is a beautiful wine village in the heart of the Languedoc (Herault, Occitania) surrounded by rolling vineyards, not far from the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains. From the garden of Villa Collinor it’s a short stroll to the local bakery, Nomad wine bar and the L'Escampette and Le Very'table restaurants; both highly recommended.
There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area:
Pézenas
One of the nicest towns in the Languedoc and only 15 minutes’ drive away. Explore the city of Molière with its many beautiful shops, terraces, and restaurants. Don't forget its famous market (featuring organic products) on Saturday mornings!
Beaches
Go swimming and sunbathe on the Mediterranean Sea with its many long beaches; Cap d'Agde, Serignan plage, Plage Maguelone, Cabanes de Fleury, Marseillan Plage to name but a few.Mountains
On the other side, a mountain landscape (national park) can be found with deep gorges, spectacular rock formations and beautiful views. Also discover the impressive peaks of Cirque de Mourèze!
Historic cities
Béziers, Sète, Agde and Narbonne are inviting Mediterranean cities definitely worth a visit. The capital of l'Herault is Montpellier, also a fantastic, vibrant city! Furthermore, the world-famous cities of Carcassonne and Nîmes with their fascinating history should be considered a definite must in your daytrip itinerary.
Wine tastings
Languedoc, le Pays d'Oc. The largest wine region in France where very good and interesting wines are made. Discover the many famous wine villages and beautiful wine estates where you can have lunch and/or enjoy wine tastings.
Culinary
In addition to fine wines, the area around Villa Collinor also offers a choice of restaurants, from simple but truly French cuisine to exquisite luxury starred establishments in prime locations.
Oysters
The Étang de Thau is known for its delicious oysters which can be sampled in the many surrounding seafood restaurants. Sample them traditional, gratinated or as part of a Plateau Fruits de Mer.
Salt
A very special place to visit: the salt pans of Gruissan where mountains of sea salt come from. Available in all flavours. Nice and tasty for home or as a gift.
Sport
Canoeing, cycling, mountain biking, mountain hiking, canyoning, golf – it’s all possible for those who love their sport.
Lac du Salagou
Perhaps a change from the salty sea to the fresh water of a beautiful lake is in order? In the red hills lies the beautiful Lac du Salagou with its aquatic centre where you can sail, paddle boat and swim. It’s beautiful here all year round!
